Just as some older white Americans may think "nip" or "Jap"
is an appropriate way to describe you, some Japanese don't have
a problem referring to immigrants as "outside people."
The word is "gaikokujin," not "gaijin." Check your own Japanese wikipedia entry
under "racism" and you'll find a reference to the word gaijin.
