今度はSlackware test sourceに入っている.configを使用して2.6.11.8のカーネルをビルドし直してみました。 今度もやはり、Xは起動しませんでした。というより、マウスカーソルまでは現れるのですが ウィンドウマネージャが起動しない様子。 そして、なぜかudevが起動していないのか、/dev以下に大量のデバイスファイルが作成されていました。 さらに、chmod 666 /dev/null としてstartxするとウィンドウマネージャは起動しましたが、マウスが操作不能。 調査したところによると、マウスのデバイスファイルを変更する必要がありそうです。 そのときの.xsession-errors は以下のようになっていました。 stderr is not a tty - where are you? xset: bad font path element (#88), possible causes are: Directory does not exist or has wrong permissions Directory missing fonts.dir Incorrect font server address or syntax xset: bad font path element (#88), possible causes are: Directory does not exist or has wrong permissions Directory missing fonts.dir Incorrect font server address or syntax startkde: Starting up... kbuildsycoca running... 問題はコンソールにログインして、一回目に立ち上げたプログラムをC-zで止めると psでそのプロセスを見たときの状態がT+ (T Stopped, + is in the foreground process group) となって、そのコンソールが何も入力を受け付けなくなってしまうというものです。 (普通にfgで戻せるときは単にTとなっている) こうなってしまったら、元に戻すには別の端末からkill -CONT pidとするしかありません。
