つまりit might be false for anything they knowは「彼らが持つどんな知識においても間違いになりうる」 彼らの結論は正しいかもしれないが、彼らが持つあらゆる知識を総動員しても間違った結論にしか至らないかもしれない 実際はすべての知識が間違っているということはまずないから大げさな言い回しなんだろうけど、大体こういう意味合いなんじゃないかな
