>>807 How to Determine Overseas vs. American Made Kramers Just because the neckplate says Neptune, NJ doesn't mean its an American Made Kramer. Also, the term "American Made Kramer" must be used rather loosely. Most parts were made overseas on all Kramers, and then were asembled here in the U.S. For example, ESP provided Kramer with necks on all their guitars around 1986. Additionally, some Kramers were even called "American Series" (notice the post 1986 plates never say "Made in USA" only Neptune, NJ) and assembled overseas in Japan (some later model Stagemasters). Additionally, there were also Japanese exclusive market Kramers that never saw the light of day in America. Many of those models look just like their American counterparts with different model labels. Just keep one thing in mind, just because it says "Neptune, NJ" on the neckplate, that does not mean "MADE IN USA."
