U.S. officials said this must include its suspected uranium enrichment program,
which could provide another way to produce fissile material for atomic bombs
in addition to plutonium.

"We have assurances from them that they will address the uranium issue," said the
senior U.S. official, who asked not to be named because he was not authorized
to speak about the matter in public.
