で、EM_SETSEL ですが、URLﾘﾝｸ(msdn2.microsoft.com) によると、

って書いてあるから >517 で正解かと思ったら、実際にやってみるとうまくいかない(やっぱり選択末尾にキャレットが来る)っすね。
