昨日インストールしたけど特に問題もなくうちの環境では動いてる。 
Feistyに戻そうとは思わない。

I'm afraid that ubuntu's Japanese extensions are unstable. 
"http://archive.ubuntulinux.jp/" on the Japanese site is available, but "Update manager" doesn't access the update data of this site. 7.10 vesion is unstable as same as beta 
version, right?

Who is the person in charge of the Japanese team? 
The Japanese team should show us the name of the person, I guess.

why don't you use uim instead of scim? 
don't you input japanese language using japanese extension?
