debian woodyでmadwifiを使えているのですが、
iwconfig時の以下のようなWarningが気になっています。
Warning: Driver for device ath0 has been compiled with version 15
of Wireless Extension, while this program is using version 16.
Some things may be broken...

FAQによるとwireless extensionsを最新版にしてkernelを再構築したら
いいそうなんですがwireless extensionsってなんのことでしょうか？
wireless toolsとはまた別ですよね？

This is easy to fix, you need to rebuild your kernel with the latest wireless
extensions (from URLﾘﾝｸ(www.hpl.hp.com)).
