The U.S. military bases in Republic of Korea (commonly known as South Korea) form an international
hub for trafficking of women for prostitution and related forms of sexual exploitation. The trafficking
of women is a lucrative moneymaker for transnational organized crime networks, ranking third, behind
drugs and arms, in criminal earnings. The traffickers recruit and transport women to meet the demand
largely created by U.S. military personnel and civilian men in South Korea and the United States. In some
cases, the U.S. servicemen themselves are traffickers working with Asian organized crime networks.

姦国（一般的に南朝鮮とも呼ばれる）の米軍基地は、売春とそれに関連した性的搾取を目的とした人身密売の
国際的ハブを形勢している。女性の人身密売は、国際組織犯罪ネットワークの資金源の一つであり、麻薬、武器
に次ぐ三番目の資金源になっている。人身密売グループは、主に、米国軍人、南朝鮮及び米国在住の民間人から
の需要を満たすため女性を調達し、供給している。　場合によっては、米国軍人自身がアジア組織犯罪ネットワ
ークに関与しており、人身密売を実行している。
