FBで社長が先のことについて結構大事なことを言ってたみたいだけど話題に出た？
something about the future
(1), we will make more desktop DAC/AMP and DAP. maybe everyone have to stay at home so the desktop products are more popular now, for example, our K3/E10K/K5Pro are selling very good.
(2), Since people have very strong requirement about stream music, Android based DAPs become more and more popular, at the same time, Android DAPs now need more and more powerful hardware (Soc, RAM, flash, wifi/bt ), so the cost of hardware become more and more expensive. so the M6/M7/M9 will be the last model we make based on Android OS and there will not any updated model in the future. at the same time, bluetooth headphone amps become more popular than simple DAPs like M3K.
So, we may have to focus on more expensive DAPs from 400USD in the future.
(3), I don't know whether it is true or not, but almost all the smartphones removed the 3.5mm headphone out, so only audiophile will buy the traditional headphones/earphones, and most people will change to TWS/Airpods, so the entry level headphone market will disappear in the future. right now we are trying to expand our line ups but we can see that the expensive one will have bigger market, so plz understand that we will have to go into higher price level market .
(4)，soon we will release a new portable DAC/AMP , it maybe the last one we will make, we can see the market disappearing. and we don't know what the value of such kind of products. and maybe most audiophile are change to hifi DAP .
Since we underestimated the cost, the final cost of K7 / k7pro will be much higher than our expected. In order to ensure the performance and features of the product, we decided to maintain the design. and increase the retail price to 650 US dollars / 800 US dollars. We are very sorry about this. In addition, due to the price positioning, we will change the name of K7 / k7pro to K9 / k9pro. If the sales of the two models are good, we will still launch a K7 with a positioning of $400.
