As >>657 points out, I am from the US. More specifically...
>>655
I live on the west-side of the US (we have... 4 time zones on the mainland, I think?).
It was roughly 1 AM when I made my two posts. My math might be a little bit off, however.
Currently it's 9 AM. So, 8 hours ahead and 24 hours behind -- my time zone is 16 hours behind Japan's time zone.
Not really sure how I should address the other "question."
There are different "formats" of writing, of course.
A difference in the structure, words used, when writing something like a research paper or a college paper, versus just chatting online.
So my English here is definitely more casual than you'd find in books, but, roughly what you'd expect when talking to a person in real life.
>>657
As long as it isn't too personal, I'm okay with it. Of course, I could just opt to not answer a given question.

めんご is a made-up word derived from ごめんなさい.

You know what, begging to be a girlfriend, so called confession 'Kokuhaku' is the strange action than can only be seen in Japan and Korea.
People in almost all other countries do not do such stupid things, but they do kissing, hugging, and sex first then they decide if they match enough chemistry to having a serious relationship.

Kishida kept calling it Kokuso-GHEE, not Kokuso, to cheat the people against the event.
but everybody used the word Kokuso and nobody dinied that it was the second formal "Kokuso" for prime ministers, following to Yoshida.

I understand your pain, I feel the same way with Japanese.
At some point I felt like I had reached a sufficient "base level" of understanding.
I could kind of do what I wanted to do with the language:
I could understand (for the most part) what's going on in doujinshi.
I could contact artists to tell them that I love(d) their work.
But honestly, I'm still so far from the level that I wanted to reach... that I thought I would reach.
I'm constantly using OCR software to look up kanji that I don't know.
It takes me forever to form basic sentences, and even then the grammar is sure to be incorrect.
My vocabulary pool is laughable, as a result it's basically impossible to follow real-time conversations.
I just... became complacent. I lost the drive/pressure to continue searching for new methods of study...

It's quite slow when you frequently need to look them up.
That, and, I never fully learned all the.. what are they called, "radicals?"
Not usually a problem, but the stroke order can get quite tricky every now and again.
Perhaps I should switch to only using hand-writing to look them up.
It might force me to remember characters more quickly.

I totally agree with you. I sometimes read a novel that includes difficult Kanji even for Japanese, and very annoyed with looking up these Kanji by stroke order or other types of search methods.
Japanese learners like you must be very frustrated even more with this so I admired your perseverance to search for Kanji.
