難しいことを書いているという意味か主語が長いという意味か。
主語が長いという意味なら、
accepting large numbers of immigrants to make up for the labor shortage may be risky.
は it may be risky to accept ～とも言えるわね。
ただ、イッチー本の第一段落のフォーマットを有名大学出のネイティブに見せたら
頭でっかちに修正されたりして、ネイティブ感覚って何だろう？って思ったりした。
It is a highly controversial issue whether or not the international community can bring about more democratization in the world.
と俺が書いたのを
Whether or not the international community can bring about more democratization in the world is a highly controversial issue.
と修正されたり、そのあたり俺もよくわからんのだ。
